There were 16 meetings of the first heads of ministries, agencies with representatives of NGOs

On the eve of the X Civil Society Forum within the framework of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence, 16 sectoral online meetings of heads of ministries and agencies with representatives of civil society were held from November 12 to 19.

This is a record number of thematic meetings of the first heads of central government authorities and civil society participants since 2003, when the first Civil Forum of Kazakhstan was held.

It should be noted that interaction with NGOs enables public authorities to respond promptly and solve topical issues of the population in the implementation of the concept of "The Hearing State" initiated by the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Online meetings were organized with live broadcast on a special page of the MISD of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the social network Facebook. The online format of 16 meetings of ministers, chairmen of agencies, vice-ministers allowed registering more than 1,000 representatives of civil society (NGOs, business, media, quasi-public sector) from all regions of Kazakhstan, who had the opportunity to directly ask their questions. The coverage of live broadcasts on Facebook amounted to about 4,000 views.

In general, during the meetings with the first heads of ministries and agencies, issues of interaction between the state and civil society in the areas of combating corruption, healthcare, ecology, education, food security, combating crime, the use of digital technologies, etc. were discussed.

It is important that all ministers, chairmen of agencies recognize the importance of the work of public councils, which, thanks to the legislative amendments introduced this year, have expanded their powers.

Recall that the X Civil Forum will start in Nur-Sultan on November 22-24 in online format and will continue to work in Almaty on November 25-26 in offline format.

The forum's events are devoted to the development of democratic processes, the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in Kazakhstan, as well as the main tasks of society, the state and business in achieving them.
