The President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe visited the Center for Support of Civil Initiatives

Today, Minister Aida Balayeva met with the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Rick Dems at the site of the Center for Support of Civil Initiatives.

The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Center for Support of Civil Initiatives L.Dias, the President of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan B.Nurgaziyeva and representatives of a number of non-governmental organizations of Kazakhstan.

The guest was introduced to the work of the office of the Center for Support of Civil Initiatives, where citizens can get advice on obtaining grant funding.

During the meeting, Aida Balayeva noted the importance of maintaining a dialogue with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, and also spoke about the implementation of measures in Kazakhstan aimed at strengthening human rights and developing civil society.

Rick Dems noted common points of contact in the activities of the departments, and also discussed issues of civil and political rights with representatives of NGOs.

Following the event, the participants expressed mutual interest in constructive cooperation based on partnership.
