At the festival AMEN there was a proposal to create an organization of Turkic animators

Topical issues and prospects of animation of Turkic-speaking countries were discussed at the international festival of animated films AMEN in Turkestan, where it was proposed to create a single platform for animators of Turkic countries.

The round table, organized on the second day of the festival, was attended by representatives of Kazakh animation and famous animation directors from fraternal Turkic countries. The meeting was attended by General Producer of the National Film Support Center Aday Abilda, producer and animation director Musab Gunduz (Turkey), cultural worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, animation director Batyrkhan Daurenbekov, General Producer of Balapan TV channel Sandugash Baymakhankyzy, Animation director, comics artist and motion Mustafa Akhmet Kara, prize-winner of international film festivals Turdybek Maidan, lecturer of the Kazakh National University of Arts Lyazzat Bilyalkyzy animation director Azizbek Mukhamedov (Uzbekistan) and heads of domestic film studios.

Deputy of the Mazhilis Makpal Tazhmagambetova and Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Social Development "Rukhani zhangyru" Amanbek Tulepbergenov also took part in the event dedicated to animation.

All participants were unanimous in the opinion that in the future it is necessary to unite the animators of the Turkic world. Adai Abilda, the general producer of the National Film Support Center, noted that he considers this proposal appropriate, stating that for several years the issue of organizing a center that unites specialists and companies for the production of animated films between Turkic-speaking countries has been raised.

"If we combine specialists of Turkic animation and systematize this work, we will be able to reach a large audience. We need to work in this direction. There is interest, but, unfortunately, I do not see concrete actions in this direction yet. We must create an organization that will become a bridge between the Turkic-speaking states," Abilda said.

Turkish producer and animation director Musab Gunduz stressed that it is important for the Turkic peoples to be like-minded, to empathize with each other. He also expressed his support for the creation of a common organization of animators.

"There are about 85 million people in Turkey, of which 20 million are our target audience, that is, children. The film "Istanbul Muhafizlary", which we presented to the Kazakh audience at the festival yesterday, was watched by 10 million children in Turkey and received a high rating. This is a great achievement for us, it also moves and motivates us forward. And the audience of the Turkic-speaking countries is even larger, about 200 million people. Animation is an expensive genre that requires a lot of investment. And the audience of these Turkic countries will become a big market for all of us. We support the creation of a common association of animators of Turkic countries," the Turkish animation producer said.

In addition, experts noted topical issues related to animation, such as attracting finance, legal regulation, meeting the requirements of the audience, training young talents, technical equipment of the studio, etc.

During the meeting Deputy of the Mazhilis Makpal Tazhmagambetova and Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Social Development "Rukhani zhangyru" Amanbek Tulepbergenov got acquainted with the proposals of experts in the field of animation and expressed their opinion on solving some pressing problems.

Azizbek Mukhamedov, a participant from Uzbekistan, highlighted the free dialogue that took place between animation experts and representatives of the state. He is sure that this format of work will contribute to the emergence of new creations in animation.

The participants of the round table agreed to further strengthen cooperation between the Turkic-speaking countries in animation and take steps to implement common tasks.
