JSC "IIA "Kazinform" in honor of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan has released an e-book "100 stories about Independence". The e-book was prepared with the support of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kazakh, Russian and English, and an electronic version of the book is also available to readers.

The book "100 Stories about Independence" is an almanac of unique stories directly or indirectly related to the achievements of Kazakhstan's Independence over the past three decades, from 1991 to the present day. Most of the speakers, being eyewitnesses of historical events, share their personal memories and emotions, recall previously unknown details of each specific period of the country's development. In addition, the book contains the opinions of specialized experts analyzing economic, socio-political and cultural processes from the height of the past 30 years. A special place in the stories is occupied by the personality of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.

"Only those who saw this complex process firsthand and took a direct part in it can understand the hardships of creating and establishing an independent State. Despite the criticism of skeptics, we have achieved a lot under the leadership of the First President, and so far the values laid down by Elbasy remain unshakable: these are domestic political stability, interethnic harmony, unity, socio-economic reforms, multi-vector foreign policy. In order to move forward with confidence, it is necessary to appreciate our history, to remember everything that we had to experience and overcome. The book "100 Stories about Independence", published by Kazinform JSC, tells about the first years of Independence. In the book, colleagues of the First President - Elbasy, who were next to him, recall important moments of the country's development and share their personal impressions and experiences. I am sure that the book in Kazakh, Russian and English will be interesting to a wide range of readers," said Aida Balayeva, Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The book is compiled on the basis of exclusive interviews with prominent politicians, economists of Kazakhstan, as well as figures of science, culture and sports. The First Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sergey Tereshchenko, Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin, Head of the Office of the First President Mahmud Kassymbek, statesman Kuanysh Sultanov and many other politicians shared their personal impressions with the authors of the project.

The book is intended for the widest range of readers, and first of all for those who are interested in the modern history of Kazakhstan.
