Kazakh experts are preparing a National Report on the activities of Public Councils

The Ministry of Information and Social Development has started implementing measures to publicly discuss the National Report on the activities of Public Councils.

On October 21 Public discussion of the National Report was organized, which was prepared by the Kazakhstan Institute of Social Development "Rukhani Zhangyru".

The discussion was attended by leading Russian experts, representatives of non-governmental organizations, active members of public councils at all levels.

The National Report on the Activities of Public Councils is an annual report that contains an analysis of the State and prospects for the development of the Institute of Public Councils.

The report is compiled in order to inform the population annually about the results of the work and the main directions of Public Councils as an instrument of interaction between the State and society, - Chairman of the Committee on Civil Society Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Social Development Madiyar Kozhakhmet noted in his speech.

According to experts, this study is aimed at analyzing existing approaches, identifying problem areas and developing recommendations that allow forming measures aimed at improving the institution of public councils.

The draft National Report covers the main stages of the formation of the institute of Public Councils in the republic. It describes the accumulated experience of working both at the republican and local levels, - said A. Chebotarev, Director of the Center for Topical Studies "Alternative".

Events to discuss the draft report will continue in the future, where every citizen can express his position.

Recall that according to the new norms of legislation on Public Councils, the preparation and submission of a National report on the activities of public councils to the Head of State for the first time were fixed at the legislative level.
