A master class was held for journalists of the leading media of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The Corporate Fund "Media Damytu Kory" with the support of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan held an educational master class for representatives of the country's leading media on practical examples from the dictionary "Soztuzer. Kate koldanystar sozdigi".

The unique dictionary was presented in early September 2021 as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in partnership with the Ministry of Information and Social Development.

The master class was conducted by the author of the book "Soztuzer. Kate koldanystar sozdigi" - Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Sherubai Kurmanbayuly.

Editors-in-chief, journalists of the press, radio and television were invited to participate in the master class.

According to Sherubai Kurmanbayuly, such a dictionary was first published in Kazakhstan. But in other countries, this practice already exists. For example, in neighboring Russia there is a dictionary of errors, which is called the "Dictionary of Errors". This master class is of particular value for journalists who often face spelling problems.

During the master class, examples of incorrect use of words in the Kazakh language, as well as common spelling, punctuation and stylistic errors were considered. Also as part of the master class, the participants were given recommendations on using the correct version of words and sentences in the state language.

According to the organizers, this master class contributes to improving the qualifications and professional level of Kazakh-speaking journalists, improving their skills on practical examples of domestic media, and will not be limited to one event and will be continued in other educational seminars.
