New TV channel within “Khabar” agency
A new “Yel Arna” TV channel was introduced within “Khabar” agency. It will broadcast documentaries, feature movies and series of exclusively Kazakhstani production.
The channel program will be represented by films of various years beginning from “Kazakhfilm” movies and finishing with modern premieres, and also by archival and little-known movies. The broadcast will be supplemented by TV series by domestic directors.
Dauren Abayev, Minister of Information and Communication of the RoK, participated in the ceremony of a new TV channel launch. In his welcoming speech he highlighted that “Yel Arna” channel is the most important project to promote culture, history and art among general public. “Also, that is a good opportunity for young talents to present their works. I am sure that an updated TV channel will be relished by our viewers”, he added.
Almagul Akhmetzhanova, Chairman of the Board, “Khabar” agency: “Feature movies will occupy almost 80% of broadcasting time. That will be modern movies; films out of “Golden Movies Fund” and movies participated in international film festivals. Documentaries will also occupy a considerable part in broadcasting as the channel`s task is to promote this genre and make it popular among viewers”.
As part of the TV channel presentation in concert hall of Kazmedia Center, premiere of “An-Aga” movie about the life and work of legendary composer Shamshi Kaldayakov took place. The movie is based on a series broadcasted on “Khabar” TV channel in the beginning of the year.
“Yel Arna” TV channel is to become the 4th in “Khabar” agency along with “Khabar”, “Khabar24” and “Kazakh TV” channels.
The TV channel is available for view to subscribers of national “OTAU TV” satellite provider as part of free-of-charge package of 37 channels, “Galam TV” Internet TV Portal, and also on the second digital broadcast satellite multiplex available in the entire territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
