Announcement of the contest for the «Volunteer of the Year» International Award

At the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, the «Volunteer of the Year» International Award was established.

The Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan is launching a competition for the «Volunteer of the Year» International Award.

The International Award is aimed at encouraging volunteers and groups of volunteers, domestic and international volunteer organizations that have contributed to solving social and public useful tasks.

Applicants from all over the world can take part in the competition. You need to submit an application and fill in the data on volunteer activities on the Internet platform qazvolunteer.kz. Applications will be accepted from 09.00 on October 1, 2021 and will continue until 18.30 on October 20, 2021.

The contest is held in two stages:

the first is an open online voting on the Internet platform qazvolunteer.kz,

the second - the participants who received the most votes and passed the second stage are evaluated by the competition commission.

As a result, three candidates will be recognized as winners in each of the following nominations:

  • "Best Volunteer Organization"
  • "Leader of corporate volunteering"
  • "For participation in the fight against coronavirus infection"
  • "Leaders of the Sustainable Development Goals"
  • "Best Social Assistant"
  • "For active participation in emergency response"
  • "For active participation in the search for missing people"
  • "For active participation in helping victims of offenses"
  • "For active participation in the development of healthcare"
  • "For active participation in the promotion of a healthy lifestyle"
  • "For contribution to the popularization of knowledge"
  • "For contribution to the preservation and protection of the environment"
  • "For contribution to the strengthening of peace, friendship and harmony"
  • "For contribution to the preservation and development of historical and cultural heritage"
  • "For contribution to the solution of issues of animal protection"
  • "For contribution to solving social problems".

The rules for awarding the International «Volunteer of the Year» award are posted on the Internet resources of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
