Researchers from leading centers and universities of the country discussed issues of inter-religious dialogue

The N.Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue with the assistance of the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a round table "Interreligious Dialogue for Peace and Harmony" in online format.

The round table was attended by leading researchers and representatives of the KISR under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KazNU named after al-Farabi, IKTU named after H.A.Yassawi, Abai KazNPU, Nur-Mubarak University of Islamic Culture, E.Buketov KarSU.

The event is aimed at explaining the main directions of state policy in the field of religion, as well as promoting key initiatives of the President of the RK, a unique international platform – the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

Bulat Sarsenbayev, Chairman of the Board of the N.Nazarbayev Center, told about the holding of the XIX meeting of the Congress Secretariat on October 5-6 this year with the participation of representatives of international organizations, religious associations from 20 countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, India, Pakistan, Russia, Turkey, Iran, the Vatican, Great Britain, Israel, Egypt, etc.

Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the MISD of the RK Bauyrzhan Bakirov acquainted the participants of the round table with the work of the Committee on training and retraining of qualified religious scholars and theologians.

Recall that the N. Nazarbayev Center, within the framework of signed Memorandums of cooperation with the leading universities of the country, is constantly implementing practical projects and activities, including the preparation of joint research, scientific internships, and the release of thematic analytical publications.
