The meeting of the heads of the PA structures with the Chairmen of the ethnocultural associations of Shymkent was held

On September 28, the Deputy Chairman of the People`s Assembly (PA) M. Azilkhanov met with the Heads of the PA structures and the Chairmen of ethno-cultural associations of the city in Shymkent.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Inter-ethnic Relations G. Shoikin and the Deputy mayor of the city of Shymkent Sh.Mukan.

The issues of participation of  the PA in the implementation of the President's Address «Unity of the people and systemic reforms is a solid foundation for the country's prosperity», as well as further measures to strengthen inter-ethnic harmony in the region were discussed at the meeting.

1. Azilkhanov stressed the special importance of the new Address of the Head of State, the seventh section of which «Consolidation as the main factor of further progress» is devoted to the policy of peace and harmony. «This is a timely signal to society about the need to protect and strengthen unity, independence, the values that unite us - thanks to which we have been living in peace and harmony for 30 years, built an independent Kazakhstan, raised a generation of Independence». The speaker called on the representatives of the city Assembly to actively participate in the implementation of the new Message.

As M. Azilkhanov noted, it is important for the city PA to focus on educational and socially-oriented work, ethno-cultural associations and their assets to interact with wide layers of their ethnic groups, to introduce new forms of activity.

The activities of the city PA, the institution «Kogamdyk kelisim» and the House of Friendship should be rebuilt on the principles of a project and subject approach, priority should be given to solving specific social problems that affect inter-ethnic relations.

The need to carry out constant explanatory work, ensuring the effective activity of the city headquarters of the youth movement of the PA «Zhangyru Zholy» was also touched upon at the event. It is necessary to ensure its comprehensive integration into the implementation of youth policy at the regional level.
