The MISD of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a briefing for representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations

Today the Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva held a briefing for representatives of the diplomatic corps on the issues supervised by the department.

The briefing was attended by more than 100 representatives of foreign countries of the near and far abroad, international organizations, who were able to listen to speeches online, including about 30 in an offline format-in the conference hall of the CCS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

«Openness and constructive dialogue has always been and remains the main credo of our Ministry. Moreover, with the beginning of the implementation of the "Hearing State" concept initiated by the President of the country, this principle has gained a new impetus in all areas supervised by our Ministry,» Aida Balayeva said at the beginning of the report.

Thus, only with the participation of the Minister, about 15 dialogue platforms are constantly functioning, the composition of the participants of which is represented by two-thirds by public assets, experts, specialized non-governmental organizations. Aida Balayeva also noted that optimal solutions are being developed at these sites, which determine the main contours of the activities of the MISD of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In general, the Minister told the representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations about the work carried out by the Ministry in the field of information, civil society, youth and family, interethnic and diaspora politics, as well as religion.

Thus, Aida Balayeva elaborated on new legislative changes and amendments on information issues, public councils, as well as new legislative initiatives on public control, legitimization of the institute of online petitions, non-profit organizations, religious activities and religious associations, on issues of State youth policy, which are being implemented on behalf of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

In addition, she spoke about the implementation of the Concept for the Development of Civil Society, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan last year, as well as the National Plan for the Development of the Information Sphere for 2020-2022, training of media professionals, measures taken to support private media in a pandemic and measures to combat the spread of fakes in an infodemia.

As part of the meeting of the Minister with foreign diplomats, a presentation of the activities of the «Center for Support of Civil Initiatives» and the «KISD» Rukhani Zhangyru» was held.

The Chairman of the Management Board of «CSCI» Lima Diaz presented materials on improving the mechanism of interaction between the state and NGOs in Kazakhstan.

Chairman of the Board of "KISD "Rukhani Zhangyru" Assylbek Yesenbayev spoke about the implementation of the strategy for promoting the program article of Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev «Looking to the future: modernization of public consciousness».

Representatives of foreign states expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to receive detailed information about the current development of information and civil society in Kazakhstan.

The briefing of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan was organized with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

It should be noted that the purpose of this event is to familiarize with the implementation of political and socio-economic reforms in the country initiated by the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
