A. Balayeva met with the Special Representative of the European Union for Central Asia

Today the Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva met with the Special representative of the European Union for Central Asia Terhi Hakala.

Balayeva congratulated T. Hakala on her recent appointment as the Special Representative of the European Union for Central Asia and wished her fruitful work. The Minister introduced Ms. Terhi Hakala to the main directions of the Ministry's activities.

Hakala, in turn, noted the important role of the Ministry and expressed interest in maintaining a dialogue between the EU institutions and the Central Asian states for the implementation of socially significant projects, including the upcoming Civil Forum «Central Asia – the EU».

Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in further mutually beneficial cooperation.
