The Marathon of Good Deeds was supported by more than 500 commercial organizations and NGOs

Since the launch in February of this year about 2.5 million citizens have participated in the nationwide project «Marathon of good deeds». More than 10,000 events have been held, and more than 150,000 people have received assistance. Representatives of SME, large enterprises, NGO and volunteer organizations take an active part in the project: during the first half of the year more than 500 organizations provided charitable assistance under the auspices of the Marathon.

During an online briefing on the participation of commercial organizations in the «Marathon of good deeds» in Almaty, Deputy Chairman of the representative office of the public association «Republican cultural center of uighurs of Kazakhstan» in Almaty Dolkuntai Abdukhalil said that over the past three years the Metall Prom Group has spent about 450 million tenge on charity. And since the beginning of this year they have held about 19 charity events in the amount of 60 million tenge. For example, in the first half of the year, 1000 families of Almaty: medical workers, veterans, large and poor families received food baskets of 30 kg. The company also allocated a cash grant in the amount of 2.7 million tenge to support the by the correction- and development center for children with autism «Children of Einstein», which was opened by a mother of many children Gulzhan Bekebayeva. Other charitable projects include support for young champions and the development of children's and youth sports, regular assistance to orphanages, inclusive centers, etc.

Abdukhalil said, emphasizing that charity is a manifestation of social responsibility of business for all entrepreneurs.

We remind you that the national project «Marathon of good deeds» was launched on the initiative of the Head of Government Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan. The project is supported by the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Center for Support of Civil Initiatives.
