Marathon of good deeds: Eco-action «Oz elimde iz kaldyrmay Sayahattime» took place in 12 regions
From July 19 to 25 participants of the national project «Marathon of good deeds» took part in large-scale eco-actions «Oz elimde iz kaldyrmay Sayahattime» as part of the celebration of the summer day of kindness. These days volunteers and activists took part in cleaning rocks from vandal inscriptions, cleaning territories near reservoirs and popular tourist routes in the most picturesque corners of the country. The event was organized by the Ministry of Information and Social Development with the support of the charitable foundation «Jana Dunie», «Kazakh Tourism», local executive authorities.
In total volunteers from 12 regions took part in the action: Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Akmola, Pavlodar, East Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Mangystau, North Kazakhstan, Almaty, Aktobe, Turkestan regions, and activists of Shymkent.
«The summer day of kindness and the eco-action dedicated to it is the second such holiday that takes place within the framework of the Marathon. Earlier we held a campaign to support the needy in honor of the holy month of Ramadan, which was joined with large supermarkets and shops. In the future we plan to organize other events as part of the celebration of the autumn and winter, as well as the National day of kindness, which would unite all participants of the Marathon around the country», - Chairman of the Board of the Civil Initiatives Support Center Lima Dias shared her plans for the coming months.
Activists had to clear the territory from garbage, rocks from inscriptions, and reservoirs from plastic bottles in the most popular tourist places of the country: the Konyr Aulie cave, Sibinsky lakes, Rakhmanovskiye klyuchi, Mount Bolektau, Lake Shaitankol, the Em bulak spring, the Caspian Sea coast, the Imankara mountain slopes, as well as in many other picturesque places.
«In some regions, initiative groups offered several locations for eco-actions at once. For example, in the Karaganda region the territory was cleaned in three places at once, and in East Kazakhstan – in two. We are glad that this action – «Oz elimde iz kaldyrmay Sayahattime», which began with individual events such as cleaning rocks in the Ile-Alatau or Karkarala national park, has grown to such a large-scale republican project, because thanks to this we attract public attention to such important issues as ecology, preservation and return of the pristine beauty of our nature», - said director of the «Jana Dunie» Foundation in Nur-Sultan Assel Aliyeva.
We remind you that the national project «Marathon of good deeds» was launched in February this year on the initiative of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence. The project is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Center for support of civil initiatives.
