A meeting of the Coordinating Council for the Development of Youth Resource Centers was held

Today, an online meeting of the Coordinating Council for the Development of Youth Resource Centers was held with the participation of representatives of the IDC of all regions of Kazakhstan.
The event was organized by the Research Center "Youth" with the support of the Committee for Youth and Family Affairs of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the Council, issues of improving approaches to the activities of the IDC aimed at involving young people of the NEET category in the socio-economic life of the regions were discussed.
During the discussion, Chairman of the Committee on Youth and Family Affairs of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Shahmardan Baymanov informed the participants about the launch of the Republican Project Office for Working with Young People of the NEET category, the development of the National Project "Tauelsizdik Urpaktary" and the Youth Development Index, the purpose of which, among other things, is to work on the socialization of young people who are not involved in productive employment and the educational process.
Director of the Research Center "Youth" Ayan Sakoshev presented the results of a study on the social attitudes of young people in the NEET category. In his speech, he focused on the main reasons for the formation of such a social stratum as NEET-youth, and methods of working on its socialization.
Within the framework of the meeting of the Coordinating Council, the regional experience of working with young people of the NEET category was presented. In particular, the director of the IDC of Zhambyl region Aibek Tauten shared the experience of creating departments for working with NEET youth.
In turn, the coordinator of the UNICEF program on adolescents and youth development, Aigul Kadyrova, made a report in which she presented a model for the development of" soft skills " among young people, based on the practical experience of the IDC.
As a result of the meeting, specific recommendations were developed to improve approaches to working with young people of the NEET category, taking into account regional specifics.
The Coordination Council for the development of the IDC is a permanent expert platform at the SIC "Youth", which provides methodological and practical support to the IDC in order to increase the effectiveness of their activities and the level of awareness of young people about the main areas of work.
