1,500 events of the "Marathon of Good Deeds" were held in Kazakhstan»

Today, the Central Communications Service held a briefing on the topic "On the holding of the national project" Marathon of Good Deeds "within the framework of the 30th Anniversary of Independence", where the speakers were Madiyar Kozhakhmet, Chairman of the Committee on Civil Society Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Lima Diaz, Chairman of the Board of the Center for Support of Civil Initiatives.
The speakers said that only from February 10 of this year to the present, 1522 events have been organized and held. The events of the" Marathon of Good Deeds " covered all 17 regions of Kazakhstan. To date, the Marathon of Good Deeds has been supported by more than 60 NGOs, business representatives, private and quasi-public companies, representatives of universities and colleges, central and local government agencies. Thus, the participants and volunteers of the movement helped pensioners and lonely elderly people with snow removal, delivered food, distributed medical masks at markets and shopping centers, and organized other useful activities for people.
During the briefing, it was announced that on March 18, as part of the "Marathon of Good Deeds" and in honor of the Nauryz Meirama holiday, the "Day of Good" campaign is planned, and from March 15 to 21, a week of environmental events will be held. At the same time, since April, a series of free training courses for NGOs and volunteer organizations "Lessons of Kindness" has been launched on the basis of the "Center for Support of Civil Initiatives".
Lima Diaz: "The Marathon of Good Deeds is based on a clear structure of assistance, cooperation, partnership, mutual support of the state, business and volunteers. We strive to make good a part of the life of every citizen of Kazakhstan, regardless of age and social status," she said.
"State bodies and public organizations, representatives of business, universities and schools have already joined the marathon. We also see how civil society institutions take the initiative on the ground and make their possible contribution to the national action of good deeds, " said Kozhakhmet Madiyar.
The "Marathon of Good Deeds" was initiated by the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in honor of the 30th anniversary of Independence.
