Topical issues of ethnic Kazakhs living abroad were considered

On March 12, 2021, a regular meeting of the Public Commission under the Otandastar Foundation was held in Nur-Sultan.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Public Commission, Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Social and Cultural Development and Science Murat Baktiyaruly, deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, poet, journalist Kazybek Isa, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan B Kurmanseit, acting Galym Shoikin, Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Interethnic Relations of the MIOR RK, as well as representatives of state bodies, public figures, scientists and others.

During the event, issues related to the determination of the nationality of Kazakhs abroad were raised, as well as issues of support for foreign Kazakh cultural centers and the distribution of Kazakh television programs abroad.

Based on the results of the meeting of the Public Commission, proposals and recommendations on the agenda items will be submitted to the relevant state bodies.
