A meeting was held with deputies of the Mazhilis from the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan

On February 10, 2021, at the National Academic Library in Nur-Sultan, a meeting was held between the Vice Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Azilkhanov with the deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, elected from the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. The meeting was attended by deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the ANC AP RK, Prokopenko L.A., the leadership of the Committee for the Development of Interethnic Relations, RSU "Kogamdyk Kelisim", LLP "Institute of Applied Ethnopolitical Research", NJSC "Fund Otandastar" At the meeting, the leadership of the Committee for Interethnic Relations and subordinate organizations of the Ministry acquainted the deputies with the work carried out in 2020 and presented plans for 2021. During the meeting, Vice Minister Marat Azilkhanov told the deputies about the work carried out in the interethnic sphere, put forward a number of proposals for developing joint mechanisms for the formation of parliamentary requests affecting interethnic relations, voiced a recommendation to consider draft laws taking into account the interests of all ethnic groups in Kazakhstan. In addition, he made proposals on an ongoing basis to present to the deputies the results of analytical and sociological work, participation in the activities of the ANC, including in information and explanatory work, as well as considering the possibility of joint visits to the regions of the country. Deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed their readiness to work together with the Ministry in order to further develop and preserve interethnic relations in the country. In conclusion, all the participants in the meeting expressed their readiness to hold joint working meetings on a quarterly basis.
