A webinar for government agencies was held

On November 20, 2020, the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with UNESCO in Almaty and UNDP Kazakhstan, held a webinar for government agencies (Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources and the Akimat of Nur-Sultan) on proactive disclosure of information.
The webinar is being held to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals indicator on public access to information.
The goal of the webinar is to raise awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals, responses to the pandemic, training in proactive disclosure methods.
Representatives of UNESCO presented an overview of global trends in the field of legislation on access to information and their implementation.
Also, Deputy Director of the Department for the Development of Communications of the State and Society of the MIOR RK Nurkisheva Yelmira spoke about the work being done to improve legislation in the field of access to information.
The webinar participants expressed their desire to hold similar events in the future.
