The IX Civil Forum will start working in Kazakhstan within the framework of the Civil Society Week

The IX Civil Forum “Society and the State: 30 Years of Partnership and Development“ Birgemiz ”will be held in Kazakhstan from 23 to 27 November.

This year the event was organized online, thanks to which the forum program will include not only traditional speeches, discussions and trainings, but also video podcasts, as well as meetings of ministers with representatives of the non-governmental sector. The live broadcast will be conducted daily, while viewers will be able to ask their questions in the comments and receive prompt feedback.

The main goal of the forum is to develop mechanisms for effective interaction of civil society institutions with government agencies and business structures. The delegates will discuss the directions of the new Concept for the development of civil society, citizen participation in decision-making, mechanisms and opportunities for public control, the competitiveness of NGOs, and much more. In addition, a report on the implementation of the recommendations of previous meetings will be published as part of the Civil Society Week.

Well-known public figures, representatives of international organizations, government agencies, the expert community - more than 500 people from all over the country - will participate in the IX Civil Forum. The forum program and registration of delegates are available on the website www.azamattyqforum.kz.

Let us recall that the event was organized by the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan with the support of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

For reference: The First Civil Forum was held on October 14, 2003. Since that time, much attention has been paid to the development of the country's third sector. Over 22000 non-governmental organizations are now registered in Kazakhstan. The volume of the budget of the state social order has grown by almost 50% since 2019 and amounted to 25 billion tenge. Half of them are aimed at supporting socially vulnerable segments of the population.
