Aida Balayeva voiced new approaches to interaction between the state and civil society

Today, November 16, Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva spoke at the opening of the regional Civil Forum of the city of Almaty.

Akim of Almaty Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Public Council of Almaty Rakhman Alshanov, Chairman of the territorial union of trade unions "Trade Union Center of Almaty City" Zauresh Umirbaeva, representatives of NGOs took part in the plenary part of the Civil Forum.

The Minister spoke about new approaches to interaction between the state and civil society:
“Any state requires a reliable partnership in solving socially significant problems. In this regard, there is great confidence in NGOs that know from within the problems of various spheres of society. Therefore, the activity of NGOs is always of great importance to us ”.

According to her, the issue of project interaction of state bodies with NGOs is currently being revised. The qualitative indicator of the implemented joint projects will prevail over the quantitative one. For this, the issue of developing and approving a socially oriented strategy of the state for 10 years was initiated, the cornerstone of which will be a person and his needs.

The Minister of Information and Social Development emphasized the importance of the ongoing processes.
“Currently, work is underway to professionalize NGOs. In particular, the project "Academy of NGOs" is being implemented, on the basis of which leaders of the civil sector will be trained and the professional skills of public associations will be developed. This is the first systematized course of the necessary legal and managerial knowledge for the leaders of NGOs in Kazakhstan, ”A. Balayeva said.

For the further development of the civil sector in the country, the ministry is also working to create an institute of certified experts and change the budget planning format for grant projects for NGOs.
