Secretary of State held a meeting of the National Commission on the implementation of the program for the modernization of public consciousness

In Akorda, under the chairmanship of the State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Krymbek Kusherbayev, an online meeting of the National Commission for the implementation of the program for the modernization of public consciousness under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held.

The meeting considered the results of the implementation of the "Rukhani Zhagyru" program in 2020 and identified new priority areas for further work. During the meeting, Krymbek Kosherbayev heard reports on the work done by the Minister of Information and Social Development Aida Balayeva, the Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov and the Minister of Culture and Sports Aktota Raimkulova.

During the meeting, they also discussed new youth initiatives for the further development of the "Rukhani Zhagyru" program, announced by the rector of KazNU. Al-Farabi Galymkair Mutanov and proposals of a member of the National Council of Public Trust under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, political scientist Erlan Sairov.

In addition, they discussed the implementation of the Action Plan for the implementation of the Rukhani Zhagyru program for 2020. The global pandemic and the economic crisis impeded the implementation of many activities and projects, most of them were postponed to the next period, some projects were conceptually revised.

Within the framework of the program, work continues on deepening, popularizing, studying spirituality and history, literature and culture, education and science of the country.

At the meeting of the commission, the Secretary of State noted that the First President - Elbasy Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev said that if modernization is not based on the national and spiritual roots of the country, it starts to go astray, and it is spiritual revival that can unite the various poles of national consciousness. Krymbek Kusherbayev stressed that the Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev in his recent Address to the people said: “The current task is to form a new reality for our people, improve the quality of the nation as a whole. New principles and new guidelines should triumph in Kazakh society. That is, proceeding from political continuity in the modernization of national consciousness, we must make every effort to ensure that spiritual modernization grows into national modernization and serve to raise our nation to a new qualitative level. "

In this regard, the Commission made a decision to develop a special Roadmap for further deepening the implementation of the Rukhani Zhagyru program. This document will be implemented as a major national project.

The main point of the project is to increase the competitiveness of the nation. This remains the strategic goal of national modernization.

The roadmap will include a set of measures to improve the status of the state language, develop education and science, spiritual, moral and patriotic education based on high national and universal values, the formation of a working person, the revival of the village, etc.

Summing up the results of the meeting, the Secretary of State gave specific instructions to the state and executive bodies to further intensify the priority directions of the Rukhani Zhagyru program.
