The Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan launches a competition for the international award "Volunteer of the Year"

The Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan is launching a competition for the international award "Volunteer of the Year".
Let us remind you that the Head of State K.K. Tokayev proposed to establish the "Volunteer of the Year" award.
The international award is aimed at encouraging volunteers and groups of volunteers, domestic and international volunteer organizations that have contributed to the solution of social and community useful tasks.
Applicants from all over the world can take part in the competition. To do this, you must submit an application and fill out the data on volunteer activities on the qazvolunteer.kz Internet platform. Acceptance of applications starts from 09:00 on October 26, 2020 and will continue until 09:00 on November 15, 2020.
The competition takes place in two stages:
the first is an open online voting on the qazvolunteer.kz internet platform,
second - the participants who received the largest number of votes and passed to the second stage are evaluated by the competition committee.
As a result, three applicants in each of the following nominations will be recognized as winners:
• "Best Volunteer Organization"
• "Leader of corporate volunteering"
• "For participation in the fight against coronavirus infection"
• "Leaders of the Sustainable Development Goals"
• "Best Social Assistant"
• "For active participation in emergency response"
• "For active participation in the search for missing people"
• "For active participation in providing assistance to victims of crime"
• "For active participation in the development of health care"
• "For active participation in promoting a healthy lifestyle"
• "For contribution to the popularization of knowledge"
• "For contribution to the preservation and protection of the environment"
• "For contribution to strengthening peace, friendship and harmony"
• "For contribution to the preservation and development of historical and cultural heritage"
• "For his contribution to the solution of animal protection issues"
• "For contribution to solving social problems."
