A seminar "On the experience of foreign countries in countering violent extremism" was held

On October 9, 2020, the Public Fund "Information, Propaganda and Rehabilitation Center" Akniet "(hereinafter - PF" Akniet "), by order of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and with the assistance of the NJSC" Center for Support of Civil Initiatives "held a seminar" On the experience of foreign countries on countering violent extremism ”.

The seminar was moderated by Vice Minister of Information and Social Development Marat Azilkhanov.

A well-known lawyer and human rights activist, a member of the National Council of Public Trust, Aiman ​​Umarova, was invited to the seminar, and from the practical and legal point of view she highlighted the experience of foreign countries in countering violent extremism.

The seminar was attended by senior officials of the Committee on Religious Affairs, management and employees of the Akniet PF, heads of local authorized bodies in the field of religion, Centers for the Study of Religious Issues, theologians, psychologists and ministers of the SAMK.

The participants of the seminar discussed practical aspects and proposals for improving the preventive work in the religious sphere.
