With the support of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, "Hotline 114" on religious issues is working

The work of the project began in August 2020 by the Social Development Center public fund within the framework of the state grant of the NJSC “Center for Support of Civil Initiatives” with the support of the IIOR of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Hotline 114 is a free helpline and chat site for anyone who needs help with religion-related issues. Consultations are carried out by experienced specialists, including a well-known psychologist, a member of the Association of Psychologists and Psychotherapists of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Lola Shakimova, a participant in the special operation "Zhusan", theologian - Aslanbek Tynyshtykov, a lawyer, PhD doctor - Serikkhan Adilgazy, as well as experts in the field of religious studies and Islamic studies, theologians rehabilitation centers.

Today "Hotline 114" successfully proves the effectiveness of its work. Every day, operators receive from 20-40 incoming calls. Experts analyze each individual case separately, depending on the nature of the problem. Most often, questions are asked on topics such as: the attitude of religious people towards non-religious people, the role of religion in raising children, marriage and traditions in Islam. Another popular request is the performance of religious observances in a pandemic. Some stories are associated with the influence of destructive currents, sects on close relatives of those who converted. Such people are provided with professional psychological support.
