Information was announced on the preparation for the defense of the Report in the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

On September 30, 2020, the Committee for the Development of Interethnic Relations of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan held an online conference with representatives of civil society to discuss the "Eighth to tenth consolidated periodic report on the implementation by the Republic of Kazakhstan of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination."
In particular, representatives of non-governmental organizations, human rights defenders, activists, experts in the field of interethnic relations and the protection of human rights were invited to the discussion.
Bolat Mazhagulov, Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Interethnic Relations, announced the progress in preparing for the defense of the Report in the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
During the online conference, the participants expressed expert opinions and assessments regarding the content of the Report, considered the most key and important issues, and made their proposals on the text of the Report.
In addition, topical issues in the sphere of interethnic relations were discussed with experts.
