An online discussion of the draft Action Plan for the implementation of the Concept for the Development of Civil Society in the Republic of Kazakhstan took place

On September 22, 2020, an online discussion of the draft Action Plan for the implementation of the Concept for the Development of Civil Society in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2020-2025 (first stage) took place.

The meeting was attended by representatives of civil society working in regions and cities of Republican significance.

During the meeting, the participants considered a document aimed at strengthening and improving the instruments of legal regulation, supporting and developing civic engagement. In particular, the project provides for the adoption of measures to qualitatively improve the procedures, forms and channels of interaction to improve the efficiency of management decisions, ensure transparency and accountability of public administration. The draft document consists of 5 main blocks and includes 46 events.

Having considered the plan, the participants pointed to the timeliness of the adopted items, and also expressed their support for the initiatives of the Ministry.

Director of the "Association of Mediators of Kazakhstan" Zhandilda Zhakupov paid special attention to the further development of mediation policy in Kazakhstan.

Elena Mitrofanova, a member of the Public Council of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted in her speech issues related to strengthening the capacity of civil society institutions, the involvement of civil society in the implementation of the UN sustainable development goals in Kazakhstan.

President of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan Banu Nurgazieva called on civil society to actively discuss in order to adopt a quality document.

Summing up the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee for Civil Society Affairs Madiyar Kozhakhmet expressed gratitude to the participants for the constructive dialogue.

It is worth noting that the developers are also planning a discussion at the level of state bodies. All proposals of the civil sector, government bodies and interested citizens will undoubtedly find their reflection in the Action Plan for the implementation of the Concept for the Development of Civil Society.
