Kazakhstan and Turkey Strengthen Venture Partnership

A memorandum of cooperation and partnership between ARDVENTURE YATIRIM HOLDİNG A.Ş. and the international innovation cluster Astana Hub was signed in Almaty on the sidelines of GITEX AI Kazakhstan 2026, aimed at developing the venture ecosystem and strengthening technological ties between Kazakhstan and Turkey.

The agreement sets out the parties' intention to build a long-term strategic partnership in the areas of investment, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on supporting startups and fast-growing technology companies (scale-ups). The document highlights the growing role of cross-border cooperation between Turkic countries in building sustainable innovation ecosystems and advancing technological initiatives on the international stage.

One of the key areas of cooperation will be the development of a high-quality startup deal flow and the creation of opportunities for co-investment. The parties also plan to share expertise and launch joint acceleration and incubation programmes targeting both early-stage startups and those at the scaling phase. Such programmes are expected to provide mentoring support, access to financing, and assistance in entering new markets.

"Strengthening business ties with the Turkish side is not simply an expansion of our geographical reach, but a strategic step towards forming a unified innovation space where capital, talent, and technology move freely across borders. We see significant synergy potential between our ecosystems and are confident that joint initiatives will create new growth points for startups and investors, boosting the region's competitiveness at the global level," said Astana Hub CEO Magzhan Madiyev.

An important role in the partnership will be played by the participation of representatives of both organisations in relevant events — from international forums and conferences to B2B meetings and industry seminars. This will strengthen business ties, facilitate knowledge exchange, and expand startups' presence in international markets.

Particular attention is given to promoting the "Tech Embassies" model — a concept of technology representative offices aimed at developing cross-border cooperation, innovation diplomacy, and the exchange of entrepreneurial initiatives. Looking ahead, the parties are considering the possibility of scaling this model beyond Kazakhstan and Turkey to the MENA and Central Asia regions.

The signing of the memorandum reflects the growing interest in deepening investment and technological cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey. The implementation of the outlined areas of work is expected to create additional opportunities for startups, investors, and development institutions, and to contribute to the formation of a unified innovation space within the Turkic world.

The event takes place in the context of the Year of Artificial Intelligence in Kazakhstan, underscoring the priority given to AI development at the state level. The consistent advancement of infrastructure, the regulatory framework, and human capital is building a long-term foundation for the adoption of technology across key sectors of the economy.
