Trusted Kazakhstan: Digital Nomads and IT Companies Choose Kazakhstan

A Trusted Kazakhstan panel session was held on the sidelines of the international technology exhibition GITEX AI Kazakhstan 2026. The event, organised with the support of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development in partnership with Astana Hub, was dedicated to real-life stories of specialists and companies choosing Kazakhstan as a place to live, work, launch businesses, and grow internationally.

The panel discussion brought together specialists and entrepreneurs from the fields of artificial intelligence, data analytics, the gaming industry, and technology entrepreneurship. Participants included graph neural network engineer Alan Salimov, Datanomix Director of Client Relations Nikita Susoyev, SimplYou founder Yulia Pimpe, and MyTona Senior Manager of Global Operations Innokentiy Sidorov. The session was moderated by Astana Hub CEO Magzhan Madiyev.

Participants discussed the factors shaping international interest in the country on the part of specialists, entrepreneurs, and technology companies: the ecosystem, the business environment, quality of life, access to regional markets, and opportunities for scaling projects.

"Trusted Kazakhstan reflects the country's strategic commitment to building an open and competitive technology environment integrated into the global digital economy. Kazakhstan is consistently developing an environment in which international IT and AI specialists, entrepreneurs, and technology companies choose the country for long-term work and growth.

We are developing tools to attract IT talent, including the Digital Nomad Visa, Digital Nomad Residency, and E-residency, while also building a comprehensive infrastructure for living and working — from access to government services to modern urban solutions. This makes it possible not only to attract specialists but also to strengthen human capital through knowledge exchange, team development, and the formation of new competencies. The result is a sustainable foundation for the growth of technology entrepreneurship and IT exports," stressed Astana Hub CEO Magzhan Madiyev.

Speakers shared their personal experience of living and working in Kazakhstan, spoke about the development of their projects, career decisions, relocation, and engagement with the Kazakhstani technology ecosystem. Particular attention was paid to the development of AI competencies and Kazakhstan's role as a gateway to the markets of Central Eurasia.

"Over five years in Kazakhstan, I have seen how dramatically the demand for human capital and digital transformation has grown here. During that time, I have not only built a career but also started a family, so for me this is no longer just a market — it is a place I associate with my future. My team and I are delivering projects for the country's largest companies, including Kazakhtelecom JSC, Halyk Bank, Magnum, and other market leaders. Our IT services are already represented in international markets, from Uzbekistan to the United States. The Digital Nomad programme has played an important role in this journey: when the state and Astana Hub remove bureaucratic barriers, specialists gain the freedom to focus on technology, strategy, and innovation. The digital nomad status gave me confidence in the future and the opportunity to invest my expertise in the development of Kazakhstan's IT ecosystem," shared Datanomix Director of Client Relations Nikita Susoyev.

Particular attention at the session was paid to human capital. Participants emphasised that the development of AI and the digital economy is impossible without a strong professional community, educational initiatives, the exchange of international experience, and conditions in which talented specialists can build careers and launch new projects in Kazakhstan.
