Enrolment Opens for Kazakhstan's Cyber Academy

The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development announces the opening of applications for the "Red Team & Blue Team Cyber Academy" educational programme.

The project, implemented in partnership with Astana Hub under the Tech Orda programme and the State Technical Service JSC, is aimed at building a talent pipeline in the field of information security and offers 100 places for free training.

Registration for the programme runs until 18 May 2026. Training will take place online over six months, enabling participants from across Kazakhstan to access cutting-edge knowledge. The programme is open to citizens aged 18 to 45 with foundational IT competencies, including an understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, network protocols, and command-line skills.

Candidate selection will be conducted on a competitive basis and will include a specialised CTF tournament focused on vulnerability identification, followed by an individual interview. Particular attention during enrolment will be given to applicants with relevant educational backgrounds, experience in Bug Bounty programmes, or holders of international certifications at the CompTIA, CEH, and OSCP level.

The curriculum covers two key tracks. The Red Team track focuses on penetration testing practice and methods of exploiting infrastructure vulnerabilities in a format closely aligned with global standards. The Blue Team track is aimed at developing skills in monitoring, cyber threat detection, and the protection of information systems. This initiative represents an important step in strengthening the country's digital sovereignty and supporting specialists in one of the most in-demand industries of the modern era.
