During a state visit to Kazakhstan, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh visited the alem.ai International Artificial Intelligence Centre, where he was introduced to Kazakhstan's key digital initiatives and achievements in the field of artificial intelligence and innovation.
During the visit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhaslan Madiyev presented the country's key areas of digital development, including achievements in GovTech, the development of the artificial intelligence ecosystem, and the launch of national initiatives for talent development and the deployment of AI solutions.
The guests were shown the Centre's key spaces. The tour began at the Museum of Singularity, which presents the evolution of AI — from philosophical ideas of the 17th century to modern neural networks and generative models. At the AI Cinema with a 180° projection, the distinguished guests viewed content created on the platform of Kazakhstan's first technology unicorn, Higgsfield AI.
The Mongolian delegation was also shown Astana Hub member projects:
A separate segment presented the key areas of activity of the Astana Hub international innovation cluster. Cluster CEO Magzhan Madiyev spoke about building an ecosystem to support technology entrepreneurs and creating conditions for startups to grow and enter global markets.
Also during the delegation's visit, Presight presented the Astana Smart City project — a large-scale initiative to create next-generation intelligent urban infrastructure. The project integrates key urban systems into a unified AI platform, enabling real-time management and improving the efficiency of city services. Astana Smart City demonstrates the practical application of artificial intelligence at the city level and serves as an example of the transition from individual digital solutions to a comprehensive model of smart and sustainable development.
The visit of the President of Mongolia marked an important step in strengthening technological cooperation between the two countries and underscored Kazakhstan's growing role as a regional centre for artificial intelligence and innovation development.
