Communication Quality Inspected and Infrastructure Development Discussed in Shymkent

Chairman of the Telecommunications Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Damir Seisembekov, inspected the quality of mobile communication in Shymkent during a working trip, including areas with low coverage levels (‘white spots’).

As part of the field work, the delegation visited problematic areas in the Nauryz and Nurtas microdistricts, where communication interruptions have been recorded.

It was noted that the development of telecommunication infrastructure is sometimes hindered by several factors, including difficulties connecting to power grids and residents’ wariness regarding the installation of base stations.

To address these issues, meetings were held with city residents, involving representatives from the digitalization department, sanitary-epidemiological service, and telecom operators. During the dialogue, residents were informed about the operating principles of base stations and received confirmation of their compliance with sanitary norms and safety requirements.

Discussions during the trip also covered connecting communication facilities to power grids and reducing infrastructure construction timelines.

As a result of the meetings, an agreement was reached to continue dialogue with the public, strengthen information and explanatory work, and jointly address tasks to improve communication quality in the city.
