This year, a large-scale initiative called Digital Nauryz has been launched across all regional IT hubs in Kazakhstan, bringing together technology, culture, and education within a unified ecosystem of the future.
The series of events has become more than a thematic addition to the holiday. It is a vivid reflection of the initiatives carried out within the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence. From hackathons and AI bootcamps to interactive exhibitions and startup pitch sessions, Digital Nauryz has evolved into a nationwide technological marathon spanning all regions of Kazakhstan.
A key trend of the initiative is the focus on artificial intelligence and generative technologies. Participants are not merely listening to experts; they are creating their own projects. In Aktau, a Speaker Talk featuring live demonstrations of AI tools taught participants how to generate visual and textual content. In Atyrau, the Digital Caspian: GenAI Cup startup competition combined generative AI with regional identity.
Practical application has become the defining feature of Digital Nauryz. In Pavlodar and Kyzylorda, AI bootcamps enabled participants to master the creation of digital content, ranging from visual storytelling to graphic design.
In Zhezkazgan, participants at an AI workshop explored how elements of national culture can be integrated into digital art through neural networks.
Digital Nauryz has also served as a platform for entrepreneurship. In Aktobe, a unique startup presentation format called Baursaq Pitch was held, where technology was organically intertwined with cultural symbols.
In Petropavlovsk, school students presented their own startup projects, demonstrating that the new generation is already actively engaged in the innovation economy.
Special attention has been given to the convergence of technology and creative industries. In Taldykorgan, an exhibition of интеллектуальных разработок featured robotics and virtual reality solutions, while workshops in Shymkent and Semey focused on creating digital art objects and 3D models using AI.
In other regions, the initiative expanded to include educational and cultural discussions, ranging from rapid development of digital solutions in Taraz to debates on the future of traditions in the age of artificial intelligence in Turkestan.
All events are being held at regional IT hubs that are part of the Astana Hub ecosystem. Today, these hubs are becoming not merely educational venues, but full-fledged centers for innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital competencies throughout the country.
