Issues of development of agricultural sector are considered

Today, at a meeting of the Council of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the agro-industrial complex, measures taken and planned to fulfill the instructions of the Head of State to double the volume of gross output were discussed and appropriate instructions were given.
At the meeting of the Council, akim of the region Nurlybek Nalibayev reported to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov about work done in this direction in the region.
“We fully support the new approaches proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture in the road map. In order to diversify crop production, this year, it is planned to reduce rice fields by 5100 hectares, increase the volume of forage crops and vegetable, melon crops. By 2028, the volume of rice will be optimized to 72 thousand. 200 hectares. The area of fodder, corn, vegetable and melon crops, cultivated on water-saving technology will be increased to 47 thousand 300 hectares. Although, the area of rice planting was decreased, there is a chance to increase yield to 20-25% through strict observance of agricultural technologies, use of mineral fertilizers at its level, improvement of quality of seeds, introduction into production of new varieties. This provides for annual production of 450-460 thousand tons of rice. This will fully satisfy the country’s demand for rice and maintain its export potential. Measures to diversify crops and improve agricultural technologies require state financial support, such as concessional lending and subsidies. We have ready-made projects", said the head of the region.
Nurlybek Mashbekovich focused on updating statistical information, an increase in livestock, achievements of indicators, attached to the roadmap. The head of the region had a discussion about the significance and role of the agricultural industry in the development of Kyzylorda region after the meeting.
“The annual allocation of significant funds by the State to support the agricultural sector has a positive impact on the pace of agricultural development. Last year, the volume of financing amounted to KZT 18.2 billion, this year increased by KZT 6.7 billion, amounting to KZT 24.9 billion. Due to the state support in agriculture, the production of KZT 220.9 billion was produced. The growth is 3.7%. Investment in the basic fund of agriculture increased by 19.7%, investment in fixed assets in food production by 14.3%. The annual plan for gross product amounted to KZT 192.7 billion, at the end of last year - KZT 31.3 billion, in the republic our region takes the second place", said the head of the region.
At the meeting, responsible heads were tasked with increasing investment in the agricultural sector, introducing advanced water-saving technologies, and preparing land plots for families interested in sowing.
Summing up the meeting, the head of the region instructed the Department of Agriculture and Land Relations, akims of the city of Kyzylorda and districts, together with the Department of Statistics, to update the statistical indicators of the industry. The timely implementation of the planned activities of the road map, the re-examination of investment projects and the formation of a pool of projects implemented in 2024-2028 are particularly important. It was therefore necessary to work with microcredit and financial institutions to solve the financial problem of investment projects.
