The issues of development of the city of Baikonur are considered

Today, under the chairmanship of Akim of the region Nurlybek Nalibayev, topical issues of the development of the city of Baikonur were considered. The meeting was attended by the secretary of the regional maslikhat, heads of law enforcement agencies, deputy akims of the region and industry specialists.

The meeting discussed socio-economic issues, the socio-political situation in the city of Baikonur. In particular, the issues of providing housing for city residents, healthcare and education were analyzed.

Akim of the region noted that the city of Baikonur has a special international status and issues concerning the socio-political situation in it are under constant attention of the Head of State and the Government.

At the meeting, Deputy Akim of the Kyzylorda region, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Baikonur complex Kairat Nurtai listed the work done to improve the quality of life of citizens living in the city of Baikonur.

Today, by the decision of the Kazakh-Russian Intergovernmental Commission, Kazakh natural gas has been delivered to the Baikonur thermal power plant. This, in turn, will have a positive impact on the reduction of utility tariffs. Also, together with the administration of Baikonur, the issues of transferring apartments in residential buildings of the city to temporary employees of municipal institutions of the city were agreed. 5 50-apartment residential buildings, the construction of which is being carried out by the Kazakh side, will be transferred to the residents of Baikonur.

It was noted at the meeting that in order to create favorable conditions for residents of the city within the framework of the long-term development program of the city of Baikonur, it is necessary to resolve priority issues jointly with the Russian side.

The akim of the region reminded that in order to avoid any tense situation, the heads of law enforcement agencies, rural akims, district inspectors need to live together with their families in this locality. He stressed that this requirement directly concerns the heads of the local executive and law enforcement sphere of the city of Baikonur.

- You have to live where you work. You should be together with the people. Solve every problem in a locality without wasting time, because a lot depends on you. Only then will you be able to maintain a stable social environment. It is necessary to hold monthly meetings and personal receptions with the population in their regions, listen to the opinion of residents and make optimal decisions. The same work should be carried out by law enforcement agencies. It is necessary to take this issue seriously," N. Nalibayev said.

The head of the region instructed representatives of the law enforcement sphere to organize various raids and watches to maintain public order. And deputies and heads of departments, based on complaints from residents of the city of Baikonur, were invited to hold personal meetings and work out ways to solve problems in the field of education, medicine, and employment. It was also instructed to organize agricultural fairs at affordable prices for the population.

At the end of the meeting, the akim of the region stressed that he always pays special attention to the development of Baikonur.
