The epidemiological situation in the region is stable

Over the past day, 30 cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in the region. Most were infected by contact, 11 of them are children under 14 years old. Aliya Idrisova, head of the department of sanitary and epidemiological control of the region, said this at a briefing of the Regional Communications Service.
- Despite the fact that the epidemiological situation in the region is assessed as stable, the probability of the presence of an “Indian” strain has been identified in Nur-Sultan. The Delta coronavirus strain is more contagious and 60% more infectious than the identified strains. While modern circulating strains spread on average to 3-4 people out of 1, this strain is transmitted immediately to 5-6 people and is characterized by a short incubation period that lasts 7 days. In addition, those infected experience severe joint and abdominal pain. Due to nausea, vomiting, illness, a person can become deaf and lead to microthrombosis of the legs. In order to prevent the spread of the epidemic, it is necessary to strictly follow all preventive measures: wear masks, maintain social distance, observe hand hygiene, ventilate the premises, not visit crowded places, postpone foreign trips, Aliya Nurmagambetovna said.
Since May, there has been a downward trend in the incidence of coronavirus. However, over the past 3-4 days, on average, 15-25 cases have been detected. In the outbreaks registered in the region, disinfection is carried out, anti-epidemic and preventive measures are taken.
