Over 30 Nationalities Serve in the National Guard

Today, our multinational country celebrates the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan — a holiday symbolizing peace, tolerance, and cultural diversity.

Representatives of various ethnic backgrounds serve in the Capital Regiment of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. On the eve of the holiday, they showcased elements of their cultures and traditions to fellow servicemen.

– Every year, the forces of law and order hold events such as Under a Single Flag, Lessons of Unity, and Kazakhstan is Our Common Home, dedicated to the Day of Unity of the People. These initiatives strengthen interethnic harmony, patriotism, and friendship among military personnel, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of our country, – noted Deputy Unit Commander Nurlan Bashenov.

It is worth mentioning that the National Guard includes representatives of more than thirty nationalities. The largest among them are Russians, Uzbeks, and Tatars, while smaller groups include Estonians, Greeks, and Kamchadals.
