Private Shahboz Satybaldiev, who is currently serving in military unit 5574 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, based in the city of Turkistan, speaks six languages fluently. Despite being of Tajik nationality, he has an excellent command of the Kazakh language and a deep understanding of Kazakhstan's history. The polyglot was drafted into the forces of law and order from Astana.
Shahboz is fluent in Kazakh, Uzbek, Tajik, Turkish, Korean, and Russian. According to him, learning each language was a way to better understand the culture and mindset of the respective people.
— During my service, I’ve had a great opportunity to develop this skill. Tourists from around the world visit Turkistan, and while patrolling the city streets, I often help foreigners. Thanks to my knowledge of several languages, I can easily explain the laws and rules to them, — said Private Satybaldiev.
His remarkable language skills and responsible attitude toward military discipline are highly valued within the unit.
It is worth noting that since the beginning of the year, service members of military unit 5574 have identified over 300 violators in the city of Turkistan.
