In North Kazakhstan Region, sharp weather changes and strong gusty winds have recently been observed. To reinforce the constructed dams in the village of Teplichnoye, Kyzylzhar District, cadets of the National Guard Academy have been mobilized to assist in the flood response efforts.
- Together with the Department for Emergency Situations, the police, and representatives of local executive bodies, more than 250,000 sandbags have been prepared to date. Eight hundred cadets are working in four shifts. Regular meals and rest periods are provided for the servicemen, - stated Alibek Abdilov, official representative of the National Guard.
Citizens have also shown their support and joined the effort. Notably, the Republican Public Association "Mothers' Hearts" Committee has been monitoring the well-being of the servicemen and providing comprehensive assistance.
- This is our shared duty. Our sons are working day and night for the country. We try to support them not only with food, but with motherly care. Whenever possible, we bring hot meals and check on their health. Local residents have also joined the cause. The safety of our youth is the safety of the entire nation, - said Farida Baubekova, a member of the "Mothers’ Hearts" committee.
