Service members of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan continue large-scale efforts to prevent flooding in regions at high risk of inundation.

On March 15, 2025, 100 service members and 9 units of equipment from Military Unit 6697 (Kostanay) of the law enforcement troops were deployed to the city of Arkalyk for flood prevention operations. Throughout the day, guardsmen cleared snow from over 40 private homes in the Akbidai and Novoe neighborhoods. Specialized equipment was used to enhance the efficiency of the work.

Additionally, 30 service members from Military Unit 6636 of the National Guard carried out similar operations in the village of Koyandy near Astana. They focused on cleaning irrigation ditches and preparing sandbags to prevent flooding. It is worth noting that after completing their tasks, a hot meal was provided for the personnel, while local residents expressed their gratitude to the National Guard command for the prompt assistance.
