On March 6, the State Academic Russian Drama Theater named after M. Gorky hosted a performance of "Aliya", a production that became a significant event in the cultural and social life of the capital.
This groundbreaking production brought together dramatic theater actors and officers of the National Guard, creating a powerful artistic portrayal of heroism and sacrifice.
The project is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Aliya Moldagulova and the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. More than just a retelling of the legendary heroine’s story, the performance served as a living monument to the courage, resilience, and selflessness of Kazakhstani women.
The event was part of the "100 Days to Victory" campaign, launched by the National Guard in honor of Victory Day’s jubilee. From the very first moments, the audience was immersed in the heroic era, witnessing how a young girl, despite her fragility, displayed unyielding spirit and became a symbol of bravery.
The lead role was brilliantly performed by the talented theater actress Aizhuldyz Baglanova, who captivated the audience with her deep portrayal and vivid emotionality.
A special highlight of the performance was its musical accompaniment: the male choir and the Exemplary Orchestra of the National Guard performed the legendary song "Aliya" by composer Seidolla Baiterekov, marking its 50th anniversary. This melody, known to every Kazakhstani, resonated deeply, filling the hall with pride and reverence.
The performance showcased a remarkable cultural synthesis, seamlessly blending military precision with dramatic art. The realism of the characters encouraged the audience to re-examine the pages of history.
A full house, standing ovations, and tears in the eyes of spectators—the best proof that this performance struck a chord in people's hearts.
