On measures for immediate response to risks in the budget process

Today, under the leadership of Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Internal State Audit Murat Orazbay, a working meeting was held with the leadership of the territorial Departments to discuss immediate response measures to risks in the budget process.

It is worth noting that the Committee pays special attention to preventing violations and risks in the budget expenditure through remote monitoring of information systems.

According to the Head of the Risk Management Department, Olzhas Nukaev, the risk management system has identified 694 risky payments totaling 184 billion tenge. Detailed information on these has been sent to the territorial Departments for appropriate response measures.

Typically, such risks are associated with intensive budget spending towards the end of the year.

Summarizing the meeting, Murat Orazbay instructed to accelerate and complete the ongoing audits and informed the territorial Departments that an updated audit tool—the “Electronic Internal State Audit” module—will soon be available for use.
