Speaking openly — the results of the state audit for 4 months were presented at a public meeting in the North Kazakhstan Region

Erzhan Mynzhasarov, Chairman of the Committee of Internal State Audit of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held an online meeting with residents of the North Kazakhstan Region. The open dialogue format brought together representatives from the education, healthcare, and public procurement sectors, as well as accountants and heads of educational institutions in the region.

As part of implementing the "Listening State" concept, the Committee consistently promotes transparency, accountability, and public oversight practices.

During the meeting, the Chairman presented the Committee’s results for the first four months of the current year. During this period, 448 inspections were conducted, covering budget funds totaling 723.3 billion tenge. Although the number of inspections decreased compared to the same period last year, the volume of funds covered increased.

The audits identified financial violations amounting to 119.8 billion tenge and over 1,000 various procedural violations. The measures taken allowed the elimination of violations totaling 79.4 billion tenge.

Additionally, during the desk audit, more than 194 thousand public procurement procedures totaling about 7 trillion tenge were analyzed, which helped prevent violations amounting to almost 492.5 billion tenge. As a result of administrative practices, fines totaling 189.8 million tenge have already been collected into the budget.

Moreover, the Committee actively uses the "Online Budget Monitoring" module, which allows real-time tracking of illegal payments in the education sector, and since April — also in healthcare, culture, and sports.

In the first four months of this year alone, illegal payments totaling 491.4 million tenge were prevented.

The open communication format enabled every participant to receive detailed answers to pressing questions and contribute suggestions for improving the state audit system.
