The Great Victory: a bow to the feat, a testament to posterity

 

Dear Kazakhstanis!

Victory Day is a symbol of courage, resilience and selflessness of millions of people of the XX century. It is a day of deep remembrance of those who fought on the front line, worked on the home front, overcame suffering, believing in victory and a bright future.

Our country made an invaluable contribution to the victory. More than one million Kazakhs were mobilized during the Great Patriotic War. The exploits of our fellow countrymen became an example of true patriotism.

Women fought alongside men. Home front workers, among whom were women, old people and children, worked tirelessly to provide the front with food, uniforms and equipment. More than 700 thousand people worked in the labor armies, built strategic objects, worked at factories.

More than 1.5 million people were evacuated to the territory of the Kazakh SSR.

Victory in the Great Patriotic War was a triumph of justice, strength of spirit and unity of peoples.

We express our deep gratitude to veterans and home front workers, remember all those who gave their lives for peace and the Motherland.

Paying tribute to the memory of heroes, we reaffirm the eternal values of the Victory: peace, harmony, freedom and dignity. These principles are enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and serve as a solid foundation for our development and unity.

May the courage and patriotism of our heroes inspire good deeds, and peace and prosperity always reign in your home.
