The Chairperson of the Constitutional Court, Elvira Azimova, took part in the conference "Shaping the Future with Our Hands: Women in Skilled Trades", organized by the Association of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs National Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan ASMAR.

The event brought together heads of central government bodies, representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations, women's business communities, and public associations.

Elvira Azimova noted that in recent years, more and more women have been mastering new professions and entering new fields.

“The Constitutional Court has been committed to a policy of equality, justice and dignity for all since the first days of its establishment. The Kazakhstani way of equal rights and opportunities for men and women is the right way and is confirmed by our culture and social values. It is right to talk about access to professions rather than differentiating them into male and female, focusing on competence and experience, willingness and readiness to master new knowledge, develop new ideas and projects,” she said.

Azimova also congratulated the participants on the adoption of the UN General Assembly resolution establishing the UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan in Almaty, which will serve as the foundation for the creation of a Gender Knowledge Center.
