A Favorable Environment – A Guarantee of Human Rights Protection

An international conference titled "A Clean, Healthy, and Sustainable Environment – A Guarantee of Human Rights Protection" was held in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, at the initiative of the Ombudsman of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights.

The conference gathered representatives of government agencies and civil society organizations from Uzbekistan and other countries, as well as representatives of international organizations.

From Kazakhstan, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Chairperson of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in the event online.

All conference participants emphasized the importance of preserving a favorable environment for sustainable human development and the realization of constitutional rights and freedoms. Elvira Azimova highlighted the role of constitutional justice in protecting citizens' rights, shared Kazakhstan’s experience in constitutional oversight, and discussed the involvement of the Commissioner for Human Rights in constitutional proceedings.
