Astana discussed the application of artificial intelligence in norm-setting activities

Judges of the Constitutional Court participated in the International Round Table “Increasing the Efficiency of the Lawmaking Process: Methodological Approaches to the Application of Artificial Intelligence and Automated System of Public Monitoring in Rulemaking”.

Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court Bakyt Nurmukhanov in his speech noted the importance of compliance with constitutional guarantees of protection of human rights and freedoms in the process of implementation of artificial intelligence and the prospects of an up-to-date database to effectively ensure the quality of lawmaking and justice.

The event was organized by the Institute of Parliamentarism together with the Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management.

The roundtable was attended by representatives of government agencies and experts from Kazakhstan, Russia and Poland.
