A high-level international conference with the participation of constitutional courts was held in Yerevan

On November 14-15, 2024, Yerevan hosted a high-level International Conference on “Respect for the Decisions of Constitutional Courts”, organized jointly with the European Commission for Democracy through Law at the Council of Europe (Venice Commission).

The event was attended by delegations of constitutional courts - members of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice, members of the Venice Commission, representatives of the Council of Europe, as well as academics and practicing lawyers in the field of constitutional law.

The participants of the conference discussed the role and influence of the decisions of constitutional courts on ensuring the rule of law and protection of human rights at the national and international levels.

Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aigul Kydyrbayeva told the participants about the applied criteria of the rule of law as instruments of constitutional control in Kazakhstani practice.
