The Chairperson of the Constitutional Court met with members of the European Parliament

Chairperson of the Constitutional Court Elvira Azimova met with the delegation of the European Parliament for Cooperation with Central Asia and Mongolia (DCAS). The meeting was held on the eve of the 21st meeting of the Parliamentary Cooperation Committee “Republic of Kazakhstan - European Union”, which was held in the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting the delegations presented information about the activities of the Kazakhstani constitutional control body and its role in ensuring the supremacy of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Elvira Azimova told the members of the delegation about the order of election of judges of the Constitutional Court, the nature of incoming appeals of citizens, the participation of representatives of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the sessions of the Constitutional Court, subjects authorized to appeal to this body.
