Judges of the Constitutional Court met with students of ENU L.N. Gumilyov

As part of awareness campaign with young lawyers an interactive lecture was held for  students and faculty members of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in the Constitutional Court. 

The Chairperson of the Constitutional Court Elvira Azimova, her deputy Bakyt Nurmukhanov attended this meeting, the judge of the Constitutional Court and legal scholar Yerkin Ongarbaev acted as a lecturer.

He told university students about the development of constitutional justice in Kazakhstan, the history of the formation of the body of constitutional control as well as the mechanisms of work and the role of the Constitutional Court in ensuring the rule of law throughout the republic.  More than 100 students and professors took an active part in the discussion and received answers to their questions.

It should be noted that in February this year the Constitutional Court has concluded a memorandum of mutual cooperation with L.N. Gumilyov ENU.

Azimova thanked the rector of the university E.B.  Sydykov for making contribution to the replenishment to the Constitutional Court’s book fund. The event demonstrated the importance of cooperation with the country's universities in the training and developing highly qualified law personnel.
